The Tapestry Building in London was by the East India Company in 1771 for use as a storage warehouse. This refurbishment transformed the apartment into a singular open area that respects the building’s rich heritage but sets it in a modern luxury context. The space is also used as a jewellery showroom. Management of light and scale was crucial, but it was equally important to embrace the unique opportunities and character provided by the existing wooden beams and steel columns.
