Casa Rosell

Located in the heart of Tarragona, Casa Rosell is one of the city’s most iconic and protected buildings. Its main façade, measuring over thirty metres, overlooks the Rambla and opens onto the sea, making it a landmark of the local architectural heritage.

This project is based on full respect for the history of the building, as it involves works that upgrade its indoor spaces without losing their original essence.

More than just a refurbishment, it is rather a balancing act between pre-existing features and modern elements, i.e. a refurbishment that brings noble spaces back to life by restoring mouldings, cornices and woodwork, while incorporating present-day materials and solutions.

With a surface area of approximately 350 m², the flat occupies the main floor of the building. The layout distinguishes between a formal area, consisting of a circular living room overlooking the sea and a representative dining room, and a more informal area, where the kitchen and an adjoining living room become the everyday heart of the home.

The master suite, with two balconies opening onto the Rambla, blends spaciousness, elegance and comfort. The over three-metre high ceilings, the natural light and the visual connection with the outdoor area bolster the feeling of openness and continuity between the indoor space and the Mediterranean landscape.
