Villa Bugainvillea
Ibiza, Spain
Ibiza, a Mediterranean gem, is more than a destination, it’s a lifestyle. In this project, through architectural and interior design, we have imbued a former 18th century monastery with the magic of the island.
Meticulously renovated, this historic building has become Bougainvillea Villa, an incomparable and exceptional refuge on the marvellous white island, which brings together the rich historical beauty and the lifestyle on the largest of the Pitiusa islands.

RESPECTFUL ARCHITECTURAL INTERVENTION
This project presented a clear challenge, to create a villa with a modern layout and timeless design whilst respecting the historical legacy of the building and the cultural and natural environment of its location.
Our intervention was based on a radical redesign that honours the past while enhancing the meaning of elegance and comfort.
Through ability and instinct in combining technology and craftsmanship, we have managed to create a harmonious dialogue between old and new, preserving the essence, but adding a touch of timeless luxury.
WARM AND AUTHENTIC INTERIORS
The essence of Ibiza permeates into every corner. The unadorned floors and walls draw attention to the original preserved wooden beams in the living room, the arches connecting the different rooms, and the green microcement of the custom-made kitchen island.
The neutral tones of the different items of furniture add warmth, and the delicate texture of the lime stucco repeated on all the walls gives an enveloping sensation that conveys calm, making the island and its lifestyle the main feature of this villa.
A TRUE OASIS
The façade of the villa pays homage to Ibiza by combining the iconic white of the island with the local stone skilfully exposed on some walls, gaining the true Mediterranean character.
The exterior of Bougainvillea Villa are a haven of peace and calm. Enhanced by the presence of century-old fig trees and lush indigenous flora and vegetation, the garden of this villa presents the setting for outdoor lounges under pergolas of Sabina wood, which filter the sunlight and provide shelter.
The south-facing swimming pool is accompanied by a barbecue area with an outdoor kitchen and dining area. A large wooden table, sheltered by a pergola, provides the perfect setting for enjoying outdoor meals with friends and family.
