A Private Villa in Cap de Barbaria
Located on the southern edge of Formentera, Formentera House is a private residence shaped by its extraordinary setting, the island’s strict planning regulations, and the rare privilege of building in such a protected Mediterranean landscape. The project combines luxury architecture, technical precision and a contemporary interpretation of local tradition, with horizontal volumes that follow the terrain and open the home towards the sea.
At LUV Studio, we approach luxury interior design as a way to create spaces that feel calm, refined and deeply connected to their surroundings. In this villa, every material, proportion and spatial gesture responds to a clear intention: to experience Formentera through natural light, honest textures and quiet sophistication.
Relaxation and Disconnection
A Natural Balance Between Indoors and Outdoors
The layout of the house encourages a slower rhythm of living, where patios, shaded terraces and transitional areas extend daily life into the open air. Large openings frame the horizon, while timber pergolas and shutters soften the island’s intense light, creating a private, fresh and intimate atmosphere throughout the day.
The result is a thoughtful approach to home interior design, conceived around wellbeing, comfort and visual continuity. Natural textures, a warm Mediterranean palette and generous connections to the exterior give each space a sense of ease, privacy and understated elegance.

Sustainable Architecture Project
A reverence for material honesty and native surroundings
The estate's layout stems from a profound awareness of its environment, prioritizing locally sourced materials, natural cross-ventilation, and structural solutions that organically optimize thermal comfort. The linear pool extends the gaze toward the Mediterranean horizon, while the wine cellar, carved directly into the bedrock, anchors the architecture to the island's raw geology.
Developed in collaboration with OUA, with interiors led by LUV Studio and the decoration curated by LUV Lifestyle, this project reflects a shared philosophy: elevating the experience of living through material harmony, structural authenticity, and a meticulous attention to every silent detail.
INTERIORS AND DECORATION
The Art of Living from Within
While the estate impresses with its grand architectural scale, the interior layout demands a shift in perspective, focusing entirely on the human scale, tactile depth, and daily flow.
