Formentera House

Located in Cap de Barbaria, on the southern edge of Formentera, this luxury villa enjoys uninterrupted Mediterranean sea views and some of the most spectacular sunsets in the Balearic Islands. Building in Formentera is a rare privilege due to strict planning regulations and limited land availability, making each architectural intervention a carefully considered responsibility.

This contemporary residence has been designed to integrate seamlessly into the island’s protected landscape. The low horizontal volumes respect traditional Formentera architecture while introducing a refined and lasting Mediterranean design language, balancing exclusivity with authenticity.

Tucked away in one of the most secluded areas of the island, the house is conceived as a private Mediterranean residence. Its spatial organisation enhances relaxation and disconnection, allowing architecture and nature to coexist in perfect harmony.

Courtyards, shaded terraces and transitional spaces blur the boundaries between interior and exterior living. Expansive openings frame the horizon, while pergolas and handcrafted wooden shutters filter the intense island light, creating dynamic shadow patterns that define the daily rhythm of the home.

Sustainability has been a fundamental pillar of this sustainable luxury home in Spain. The project prioritised locally sourced materials to reduce environmental impact and support regional craftsmanship, while passive architectural strategies optimise natural ventilation and thermal performance.

The design approach for Formentera House was developed in collaboration with OUA, responsible for the architectural project, while LUV Studio led the interior design. Together, the project reflects our philosophy of The Luxury of Living, creating meaningful environments that elevate lifestyle through authenticity, material integrity and contemporary Mediterranean elegance.
